McClellanville Town Council has tentatively adopted a millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 3.89 percent. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at Town Hall, 405 Pinckney Street, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 7 p.m.

The tentative increase will result in a millage rate of 11.53 an increase of .43 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 11.1 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $500,000 is approximately $8.60 and the proposed tax increase for a non-homestead property with a fair market value of $500,000 is approximately $12.90.
