The Town has been coordinating with state and local agencies regarding Old Cemetery Road. The good news is the bridge is in stable condition. The roadway leading to the bridge is what collapsed. SCDOT is mobilizing to the site and they expect to begin work immediately.

In the meantime, gravel will be brought in for temporary access through Hercules Road for fire, EMS, and law enforcement. This should be completed before dark today. Hercules Road is very wet and we ask that residents only use this access point if absolutely necessary so that it can continue to be used for emergency situations. Many residents continue to use the pedestrian bridge for access to vehicles across the creek. Thank you for your patience.
