The Planning Commission for the Town of McClellanville, SC will hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM on Monday, June 22, 2026 at the Town Hall, 405 Pinckney Street, the purpose for which is to hear a request to amend the Carolina Seafood Planned Development ordinance (adopted March 7, 2005 and amended August 7, 2023) to designate an additional 13.74 acres as Open Space. The 13.74 acres constitute a portion of Tract A (7.07 acres) and all of Tracts J, K, and L (6.67 acres). The applicants has also proposed amendments to the Planned Development regulations to be consistent with amendments to the Highway Commercial District adopted on November 3, 2025. Parcels subject to the proposed Planned Development amendment totaling 40.10 include: Charleston County TMS# 764-00-00-(010, 528, 529, 530, 566, 567, 572, 573 and 574).

Any interested party may submit comments in writing to Town Hall prior to noon June 19, 2026, or orally at the public hearing.
