Charleston County will be in McClellanville on Tuesday (May 5) to spray a surface treatment on roads that were resurfaced several years ago. This treatment extends the life of the asphalt surface by reducing the effects of sun oxidation and water intrusion. The material being used goes down with a pink dye that dries quickly (<30 minutes). The material is environmentally safe to use.
